I am 48 yrs old with a 16 yr old son and 1 dog. I was diagnosed with Alopecia at 2 yrs old so I have never had a full head of hair. It would come and go but never where I did not have to wear hair replacement.
I am in the process of getting my Teacher Certification. Just trying to live life and not let this get me down. It is hard to imagine why so many people (men, in particular) have such a problem with my disease. But it is what it is...If God had intended me to have hair, I would have it:)
Hi Stephanie, Thanks for your note! When I was spokesperson for the National Alopecia Areata foundation, so many people asked me for advice and input -- just like you did -- that I decided to write a book about all the stuff I knew. It's called "If Your Hair Falls Out, Keep Dancing!" and you can find out more about it on my page. In the meantime, I am here to help and support you. Leslie Ann

Hello and welcome, Stephanie!
How are you doing today? I have AU, too.
