- I'm a single parent with 5 boys, their ages are 22,20,18,16,&11. I have 1 grandson who is almost 4. I have been at my job for 17 years.I've been off work for about a year and a half due to my health. On top of everythng else I'm already dealing with, on 1/13/12 I noticed a small bald patch on the back of my neck and to make a long story short I was told I have Alopecia Areata, and it sucks.
