- Mom to a 15 year old that has been diagnosed with alopecia. This is her second time that she has lost hair and is worse this time than the last. We just found out that she has an underlying thyroid disease and we are awaiting our appointment with an endocrinologist. A long wait and she is steadily losing hair each day.
