Hello and welcome, Venessa! Thank you for being so supportive.
It might help you gain a better understanding of the condition if you did some reading about it. My book, "If Your Hair Falls Out, Keep Dancing!" is great for women and girls and their families and friends. It just won a book of the year award and is a finalist for another! Anyway, if you're interested, you can find out more on my page. And there's a link on this site your can click on to order the book. Let me know how else I can help!

Vanessa,
My daughter was diagnosed with Alopecia this year. It has been very difficult. She loves cheerleading and is 8 years old. Her spots of hair that have come out have been in the back under her hair but it does callic around it . We have put her hair in buns over the parts and put hair pieces over them. I know it won't always be able to work that way but if I cna help in any way let me know. I don't know too much about it yet but we are learning and it is a stuggle with emotions. My heart goes out to everyone that has Alopecia.
