- I have had alopecia areata since the age of 27. My hair grows....very thinly and very patchy. I keep it no 1 and wear wigs and weaves. There is a large consistant patch at the crown of my head and in the front hairline. I have tried everything on the market wirh no success. I have had a eelationship breakup because of this.
