- I have been dealing with Alopecia many yrs before I knew what it was. I was covering it up with wigs and doing treatments. I thought about shaving many times.One morning I just made a decision to go bald and I did. Now I am free and I feel beautiful. I turned 60 this year too. So I decided to be Bold & fearless in so many ways. Looking at some of the comments I see I will enjoy this group.

Funny I very seldom come to this sight but yours caught my eye because of your name. My name is La'Vonne and I just shaved my head last week. I've had alopecia now for about 10 years. I applaud you, I'm not comfortable (confident) enough to wear mine out yet.
