Hi! Alopecia isn't really a disease, it's an autoimmune condition, and it's very unpredictable. Your hair can grow back never to fall out again, or it can progress to alopecia universalis (no hair anywhere), which is what I have. It can progress or not, be fast or slow. I first found spots when I was 24 and it stayed pretty much spotty for six years. Then it started getting worse and just before my 40th birthday all my hair had gone.
Hello and welcome!
How are you and your son today?
