I'm a freelance writer who loves to write about healthy hair care. My writing niche is educating women who are growing textured, black hair types (which are often the most challenging types to grow naturally).
I've also personally dealt with traction alopecia. My understanding of alopecia is limited to my own self-induced hair loss, and while I've had tremendous success growing my hair and helping other women of color get to great lengths I'll always have this one little section where no hair will ever grow again. And with it being traction alopecia, I have only myself to blame for the inadequate hair care that caused it.
I am interested in learning more about alopecia in general. Because my hair loss is confined to a small area about the size of quarter (and is well hidden under thickets of hair), I am not confronted with my alopecia daily-- but I am interested in learning and feeling what my sisters with various forms of alopecia feel.
