Well im divorced (just) and have been diagnosed with Alopecia Areata ! , not good when you are newly single again. i saw this site and thought well i might as well have a look, so i`ll see what its about (im not going out much at the moment). so would like to chat to people with the same problems. i can not get my head around whats happening at the moment. and what i`v done to deserve it.
We have done nothing to deserve it, but I am sure a divorce cannot have helped at all. Try not to focus on lack of hair perhaps take time out to do something you enjoyed when single. Know it's hard, I have had alopicia since I was in my 20's (now 53) & have only just taken the step to go out wigless. Take a mate to choose a wig & make a day of it....can be fun, feels like you have a small dog perched on your head at first. Slap on some makeup even if you are staying in, surprising have a little face paint can lift you but most of all remember they are loads of us baldies out here to talk to, you are NOT alone X
Hello and welcome, Carol!
