im a 21 year old mother of 3
2 boys an one girl they are my life, an mean the world to me, ive been going through a very rough time with my eldest child my daughter chloe age 5, we was told she had alopecia at the age of 2, it was so heart breaking to see my princess go through this, she had the most beautiful curly hair i had ever seen, to see it all on her pillow each day broke my heart so much, she then started to lose her eyebrows and eyelashes whitch just made me feel like i had done it to her, even now i still blame myself an wish it was me and not my little girl, and my family tell her how wonderfull she is , but she is getting bullied at school because she looks different the kids nowadays can be so cruel, its nice to see that there are other parents that no how i am feeling an would just like to no im not on my own.

I am sorry your little girl is having a hard time at school. Kids can be so mean.
You can get help from the National Alopecia Areata Foundation web site: www.naaf.org. They will send you a free "school pack" that includes a video that can be played for the student body and administration that will help everyone understand the condition. When kids understand, they tend to stop the bullying and teasing.
