- 30something mom to two amazing kids. Married to my wonderful husband since 2007. I was diagnosed with AA when I was a young child. I lost all the hair on my head the first time in 2003. I lost it all again last year. The only time I've had total regrowth was when I was pregnant with my son in 2011.
For the first time in my life I've started losing my eyebrows and eyelashes. I still grieving them and have very little of each left.
My amazing husband told me after I explained to him about my alopecia only after a week of dating that he would shave his head bald if I lost all of my hair and he has! He tells me I'm beautiful daily and loves me even without hair. I'm incredibly fortunate.
Both of my children were born with full heads of hair and haven't shown any signs of alopecia as of yet and I'm hoping that it doesn't pass down to them. But if it does I'm glad they will have me to walk the journey with them. So far I'm the only one in my family that has alopecia.
