- Well, besides spending anywhere between $210.00 and $290.00 per season in a salon, I incurred psoriasis on my scalp. If anyone knows how perm and dye chemicals react to open wounds...you can imagine that my pain was great on all visits to the beauty parlour. So, maybe shaving my hair off is considered extreme to some but that was my choice that I made. Never regretting it. My health over rode my vanity!
