- I am 30 years old and have alopecia universalis since i was 13 years old. I have been completely bald since i turned 15. For the most part i've learned to accept it but believe it or not i still find it hard to look at my bald head in the mirror sometimes. I wear a bandanna at all times except when sleeping. i have tried an unbelievable amount of treatments, all of which have failed.

Hi Lola...welcome! There is a group of Canadians on here which you may want to join. Also, there is a foundation gaining momentum in Canada called CANAAF (Canadian national Alopecia Areata Federation). They have support meetings in your area and hold various events...a great resource. I'm AU as well and so totally get what your saying. Warm Wishes and Welcome!
