About Me:
Female bartender in Vegas. Had thin, fine baby hair all my life. Wore it in a spiked, bleached blond doo and decided to let it grow out. It grew out straight up in the air and woiuld not lay down, no matter what I did. I got pissed and shaved it off. Started wearing wigs. That was 18 yrs ago. I have tried growing my hair over the past 3 years but its worse now than it ever was, as far as thin baby hair. Except now, their is not much of it. I look like I have been going thru kemo. I went to bosley in 2003 and they told me they couldnbt help me. I didnt have enough hair anywhere to move around.
Lately, I have been on Youtube watching how to make my own wigs. Out of a wig cap. I made one. It turned out great. Light weight, fits my head perfectly, I used real hair so it feels awesome. There are a few things I need to .... figure out. The front hair line. I want it to look like its growing out of my scalp. So, back to youtube. (youtube will teach you anything you want to know, by the way. awesome site) Anyway....I dont know if I have alopecia or wth I have but I DONT have hair of a normal woman. Iv been robbed, and Im sure anyone reading this feels they have been robbed too.
I feel ya.
I decided to do a search for hair forums. Im looking to buy a really reallly really good wig. Iv been wearing a beverly johnson wig for 10 years and she decides to go out of biz. I have gone thru hundreds of dollars in the past 8 months trying to find a new wig. The lace ones ....they wont let ya try them on before ya buy so I buy and hate it. and stuck with it. My hubby says go buy a hair that will last...a GOOD wig. So, Im here to find out about good wigs and where to buy them, brands, shedding, scalps, etc. I know alot about wigs but not a REALLY good wig. Or what the best is? Not from a retailer but from wig consumers. People like me that for some reason have been robbed of hair and just want to look normal. AND dont want to be robbed of hard earned money on the search of just looking normal. Doesnt that seem simple. lol
