Yup.
It has been over 12 years. Over 20% of my life has been spent with AU.
Mostly I don't think about it, easier to do if a guy.
My oldest child doesn't really remember me with hair (she was 2 when she helped me shave it off with the clippers.....). And both kids say they prefer me bald and wouldn't want me to grow my hair back if I could. :-)
I still fantasize about re-growing hair every now and then, but not that often.
I pay attention…

About 9 years ago, about 1 year after moving to Atlanta, I started noticing patches of facial hair that stopped growing. I had always grown a winter beard when I lived in New England, but that was going to be a thing of the past. No problem, I thought. I can live without facial hair. I've been dealing with my alopecia for almost 5 years now.
Like yours it went rather quickly. It was totally crazy. I think I was totally crazy too.
I've spent a lot of time here and it has been really helpful.
