- I'm 40 years old. My journey with alopecia started in 2014 a couple of months before my wedding. As of October 2015 I had lost all of the hair on my head and most of my eyebrows, so I bought a wig and a good eyebrow pencil. I now also wear false eyelashes on occasion and have lost all the hair on my body. I learned today of a young girl that was diagnosed with alopecia and it made me think there is a need for a support group for people dealing with this disease. That lead me to find this group.
