Hi, I've been diagnosed with alopecia areata diffuse - I used to have long thick hair about 4 years ago but it's all been shedding. Now it gets to about 4 inches long then falls out. I don't have any bald patches as it comes out all over, but it seems to be getting thinner and thinner. My consultant said it was the autoimmune disorder attacking my hair follicles.
