Hey ladies.

I have decided to start a blog of my journey of suffering from alopecia areata. It has been 10 years since I first discovered my hair loss. I was only 13 when I was at home one day doing my hair when I found a bold spot the size of a tennis ball. I kept it to myself for a month or so before I told my middle sister and made her promise not to tell anyone. I first went to the doctors and then a dermatologist and I tried home remedies and everything you could think of. Within a year I had to start wearing a wig. I was bullied to the point I started punching on and even my so called 'friends' even bullied me. Through the years of dating when the guy found out about my condition they dumped me. It has taken me til I was 22 to find the perfect man who accepts my condition and even though I still don't have all my hair and you can tell I don't he has given me the courage to stop wearing wigs as they cause me so much stress and discomfort..... will add more later. Thanks for reading

Cheers

It's so good to hear you are accepting your condition and yourself!  I tell me sons all the time that even if you didn't have AA or AU, so called friends would find something else to bully you about.  Stay positive and keep your light shining!
