Another Day..

I havent written a blog on here for awhile. Not much had gone on, until now.
In one of my other blogs, I had mentioned that I was going through a mild chemo for Molar Pregnancy.
Well, the treatments havent been working..So Im going on a stronger chemo, one thats going to make me sick, and tired, and yup..lose my hair. Im so scared. There's a few complications with this treatment that terrify me.
I also wonder how this is going to affect my alopecia. What if after it all falls out, my eyebrows and eyelashes dont grow back? what are the odds of my eyelashes and eyebrows falling out??
I guess one good thing about all this is, my mom is comming to stay with me for awhile, while I go through this.

Hi Chelsea, Both my wife and my niece went through very extensive chemo. They both experienced different degrees of hairloss but everything grew back beautifully in a short period of time. My thoughts of healing are with you!

I work with people with leukemia & lymphoma going through chemotherapy of various kinds. I do not know how chemo reacts with alopecia, but I do know that I have never seen a patient lose their eye lashes or eye brows due to chemotherapy. I have often wondered if chemo would reprogram the immune system as Linsey (above me) said it would. If it does that'd be awesome for you. I mean, most important thing of course is treatment for your pregnancy issues, hair is just hair and you've already found this fantastic support system online with us, so you're way ahead of the game on that front. All the best and keep us posted. My thoughts are with you as you embark this new area of life.
