Hey Clair Bear. I'm happy to see you on here discussing you Alopecia with other. I love this place. I feel very comfortable here. Seeing so many people with the same condition as me made me realize that this is the way I am and the way I am going to be for the rest of my life and I except that with open arms. I even posted my "balding" and my "completely bald" pics of myself on my myspace page for all of my unknowing friends to see. You and I are going to go out somewhere in our matching bandanas and youll see how free you are going to feel. Its you and me girl! I love you!

Hey Clair, take a deep breath and relax. Try not to get too stressed out about your hair. It is only hair and you are YOU with or without hair. Your real friends will love you just the same because it is you, the person inside, that they love; not your hair. Right now if the thought of going outside without your wig stresses you out then don't do it. I suggest only doing it when you are ready. Dont worry about it. But think about it now and again and eventually you may be ready to take the wig off but just remember that there is nothing wrong with leaving it on either. do whatever makes you feel best.
James.

I know the feeling. I got to a point where the money became too much. My daughter in college and
my son in his last year in high school. I would not of been able to send him to the school of his choice
if I kept wearing wigs. It was this time of year in 1998 and I had taken off my wig for the day, going
to bed, and worked called I had to go back into work. I told myself, I have had it....I'm not putting it
back on. Went in to work and no one was there that time of night of course, I fixed the problem. Monday
morning when I showed up at the regular time coincidently two other guys had gotten haircuts over
the weekend...everyone just laughed, including me how everyone got new summer haircuts over the
weekend. It felt great and my only regret was not doing it sooner. Oh and the extra money....sweet!
