i am a hair stylist and i work in a hair replacement salon in houston. Most of my clients are women and all of my clients are like family. I read the blog about hair salons being callused. I never want to be that way. I came on this site because i have two children who come to me with alopecia one of them their parents seem to understand the problem and the other the mother seems to keep trying to make the girl be who she was with hair. she keeps turning down wigs because the blond hair is not exactly like her cheerleading picture from when she had hair. The girl never looks up in the mirror and she doesnt ever look me in the eye. she is devastated and i have asked her mother to talk to other moms i have and to allow her daughter to communicate with others who have gone through this and am constantly wanting to as a stylist sensitive to the needs of my clients.
I have a question that i would like answered as a whole what is the best wig.
what do you think of vacuum wigs as compared to gripper wigs or tape or adhesive
do you like all lace? what in your collective opinion works best for alopecia women
I have always done medical hair loss which ment cheaper wigs and temporay hair loss
or hair for people with male pattern baldness
but i have been told that au means your skin is more sensitive who does the wig thing best and what do they do in your opinion.
