Well, it's been 8 months and it seems that my hair is growing back in. Not all of it...there are still some pretty thin places. Honestly, though, it's like I stopped caring about it. I used to try to hide the spots, then I finally stopped. Life is still stressful, but at least I recognize it and can deal with it. WHEW! The worst is over.

What I'd like to know is, what major or sudden change preceded the GROWTH? Diet? Location change? Chemicals encountered? Pets? New foods, beverages? Love? Red wine? Hormones? Medications? It would be so cool if we could pinpoint triggers one way or the other!

No kidding. I believe it was a combination of 2 things. First, learning how to deal with the stress. I went to a counselor initially for the grief, then it turned into discussions about relationships, stress, acceptance of the condition, etc. Second, I found a new dermatologist who suggested we try the steroid shots (the first derm. wouldn't do it). Funny, after I posted this last night, I had a could of "nightmares" last night about losing my hair again. Geez!
