I've had alopecia for 30 years so you can talk to me anytime. I felt very alone until I recently began meeting others with alopecia at support meetings and for lunches. We are everywhere! I love talking to people about alopecia though so feel free to message me or leave a comment on my wall! Keep your chin up! :)

Also, looked up the support group on naaf.org for you and found this info:
San Diego Support Group -
Group meets on the last Wednesday of odd numbered months at 6:30pm at the Mission Branch Library.
If you've never been to a support group meeting, I'd recommend it. It's always better to talk to someone in person that via the internet. You could meet someone your age there and become real great friends!

Hello, i just want to say coming to Alopecia World is the best thing. We are all friends here for we are going on this rollercoaster together. I have AA for 6 years now. May I suggest that contacting NAAF for support groups. It so much better to be others in a face to face basis. Anlo in your age group. If you would like to talk im here for you too.

Hi Danielle,

My story is similar to yours. I had an outbreak a little before i was 5 years old and I've also never known anyone else with alopecia. You're here amongst friends :)

Absolutely ..WE'RE HERE! I dont know anyone besides me who has alopecia...I find myself spending more and more time on here with my fello bald people. It helps...it really does...If I saw someone on the street with Alopecia? I'd most likely jump all over them with happiness of seeing someone like me...
