IAD Brochure 1.pdf

Today seems like a good day for firsts for me. Today is my first attempt at blogging! It is my first celebration of International Alopecia Day. It is the first day I will meet others in my area who are fellow alopecians. And it is the first day that I will live life completely bald.

You see, after meeting with my new AA friends at Denny's near where I live, I'm off to a barber shop to have the remaining hair patch shaved off. If I'm brave!

Can't say that I am 100% certain about my decision. But right now I'm straddling the fence. I'm lukewarm, neither hot nor cold. I live as a 'hairy person' - but over half of my head is bald! So, today it ends.

But the real reason for me writing this is to be able to offer a flyer I made up. Mary sent me the bulk of the text (thanks!) and then I just reworked a few things. The link is above, please feel free to use it. It is a pdf and there is a column that refers to Phoenix, but if you have a Mac I'll send you the iPages (editable) version.

Ok, gotta run for now.

Grace and Peace,
P~

Good luck! Just pick a decision and stick with it. You never will know about something unless you give it your all! Let us know how today goes...

Sounds like you are havng a good day. No matter what you decide about shaving your head - it is still a good day. You will do it when you are ready and if not today then you will have another day of firsts.

Your first time at blogging was a success. Good luck with the rest of your decisions for today.

Well look at you Pammygirl! You did it! I saw the pictures of your boldy bald self and aren't you just a beautiful woman! You go girl! So...now that you've gotten through the scary daring part, how do you feel? What kind of reactions have you received? How does living bald compare to your expectations of being bald?

Hugs, hugs and more hugs. Okay...and just one more hug just because it takes such courage to make so drastic a change and you've come so far in such a short time. Aw shucks....I'm gonna quit before I get real mushy sentimental. You go, Pam, you go!

Wow Pam, good for you. I just have to tell you this, you are one gorgeous woman, really!! I'll be doing it soon too Pam so thank you for letting me share in this. You are a powerful example for me. I also have to say I love your sense of humour ( the fur thing on your head is so funny, especially the look on your sweet face), you made me smile, thank you.
Big, Big Squishy Hugs :),
Marie
