well when i was going through the airport metal detector with my wig (with metal clips) it didn't beep, also I don't think you have to take off your wig for the photo.

Sure hope the airport security check does not goes off because of the metal in my wig. That would put me in an uncomfortable position.

I was in the airport in Denver 3 weeks ago and had to go through one of the full body scanners. When finished, the TSA lady "patted" my head. Now,either she thought I was a cute, furry puppy or she saw the wig on the scanner. Either way, I had no problem. I have never had any issue going through the regular, walk-through scans and I have flown 4 times wearing a wig. And about your photo...wear your wig if you wish. You are not wearing a wig as a disguise but because you choose to remain "hairy". (sorry, couldn't resist). Blessings.

I always wear my wigs....and have not had problems going through airport security...yet...

But I don't have metal clips.

I agree with Rose Marie. I can tell you that it won't be an issue if your hair changes after you take the picture. I wore a red wig to Ireland, and then a brown/blonde wig in a different style to Costa Rica and not one person said anything about it. They know that women change their hair styles. With regards to airport security, you have nothing to worry about. I have flown in all kinds of airports wearing wigs, and nothing has ever happened to me. If you have to be pat down, then a woman will be the one doing it. You can whisper to her that you are wearing a wig, but the chances of them saying anything would be slim.

now this Wednesday I'm going for VISA interview in UK embassy. will my wigs [which has metal clips] will be a problem in the security check in the UK embassy?
