well i have tried and thought i was doing ok.....the nervous breakdown i had from bullying at work i thought i was getting over it but it seems not, the last 2 days i am back to square one :(

lack of hair is really getting to me as no matter what i put on my head irritates, gives me headaches, will try shaving what is left off if that don't work will just give up..hope the guy responsible will feel the guilt for a very long time........sorry just need to vent

i am supposed to go to Prague in february on a free trip, no way can i go in this state, if i could just wear something i would feel better, have 2 wigs but neither of them fit right...just so frustrated ;(

See Tanya about a cool scarf-typing video she found online using old t-shirts.

Any hats with air on top of head on the inside should feel better!

This is the main way I tie scarves. I like wrapping them around the top of my head to tie because I want the added fullness. There are photos and maybe other discussions on AW about scarves. Good luck!

Glad you liked the scarf video...I made that about 8 months after I lost my hair. Unfortunately, with a completely slick scalp, I've found silk or satin scarves too slippery for me. It's not that they don't stay on...but they're just not as stable as the thin cotton of the Turkish scarves I wear. Give it a try with whatever scarves you have - you might like them fine. The only thing is that they can't be too large. About 33" square is the max for me. Let me know how you like it.

Angie good luck Thursday let me know how you get on, i hope it all goes well :)

and to Mary, thank you for the scarves video, you made it look so easy..can it be done with a normal satin headscarf? and if so would it slide off?

thank you all appreciate all your support.......

no Norm stayed in alone over christmas and new year, could not stick anything on my head long enough to go out apart from a quickie in tesco!!!!

need to get myself together as you say, a free trip to a Hilton hotel is too good to miss, funny it is a reward for helping people on a security forum........
have felt sick last 2 days worrying about facing the guy tomorrow who is partly responsible for this...and i just may take some scissors with me lol thanks for the idea ;)

will check in tomorrow and let you know the outcome...

Hey Sue
I know things are hard sometimes, I'm going thought it too. I'm going to buy my first wig this Thursday. I have a pea head and I know it's going be hard. I wish you well, keep your head up. Go find a nice sexy wig and go on your trip! you will be happy you did. Keep you computer locked on this site and keep us updated. God Bless

Check out my video on Alternatives to Wearing a Wig about how I tie scarves. Don't let lack of hair stop you from enjoying life and having experiences. I couldn't wear wigs, though I tried 6 nice ones. Others on AW do fine with them, but if you can't, just wear a scarf or buff and hold your head up and smile. I've found that if I act like there's nothing out of the ordinary about me, other people act the same, for the most part. In other words, fake it 'til you make it. As my t-shirt says "Yes, I'm bald...get over it!"
