Another statistic... Got laid off today.

So here I go again on a job search. I left a stable job that I was underpaid at to go to a fantastic job in Management... a small company but very family friendly and flexible. I was there for 2 months, had told everyone about my AA and that I wear a wig and had a supportive (for the most part) base there. The client I was hired on to take care of and be the project manager for dropped our services and therefore my team and I had to be laid off. I am so nervous for the future... there are no jobs out there right now! I need some encouraging words, and help from above to help me get a job again. I only wish I could come up with some fantastic invention for alopecians or something like that! I would LOVE that!

Anyway... just venting. I'm sure it'll all work out. :)

Thanks for listening!

Hi Rachel,
I am in the same boat as you. I got laid off from my job of 9 yrs back in november. It has been 8 months and I am still looking. Maybe it is because I am too picky. I decided to go to nursing school in the fall. Hang in there. There are jobs out there. Everything will work out in the end. Before you know it you will be working again. Good luck and keep us posted on the job search.

I've been laid off since October, but I feel a shift. I'm getting calls about jobs, so even though I don't have any offers, it's like there's suddenly some interest...good luck to you! It will all work out, and not always the way we plan.

Get a teaching credential for Special Education, the one job that will always be needed.
