What do you think?
Haven't heard of this treatment…elaborate?
I don't know what A-Cell means, but I have researched in quite some detail the PRP (platelet-rich plasma) injections. I am seriously considering this treatment option, but I'm still waiting for an answer from a studio in Milan. I think it's a pretty safe approach and apparently it has given some good results. Joseph, you should search on Google Scholar for some articles about PRP injections and alopecia written by Fabio Rinaldi. He's one of the leading experts in the area and has some nice studies.
Jeffrey, have you heard about the vampire face lift? :) That's one way in which PRP treatments can be used. Another one is in sports medicine; a PRP injection helps athletes recover faster from injuries. So, what exactly is PRP and what's the protocol? Well, first, one needs a sample of the patient's blood. This blood undergoes centrifugation in order to separate the platelet-rich plasma from the platelet-poor plasma. Afterwards, the PRP is injected into the patient's scalp, eyebrows and whichever other area is affected by alopecia. PRP is really rich in growth factors and cytokines. ;)
I'll have to pose this question i.e. PRP to NAAF during "Ask The Experts" at the Conference this Summer.
