Hi everyone,
Wanted to find out if by any chance anyone has an idea about the National Guard and does alopecia disqualify from joining?
TX in advance for your replies.

I don't think alopecia will in any way disqualify you from joining the National Guard. I checked a website about the National Guard and it says the following regarding medical requirements and disqualifications:
Men must be between 60 and 80 inches tall, and women must be between 58 and 80 inches tall, with body fat composition used to determine acceptable weights. All muscles must be sufficiently developed so that candidates can complete training. Troops cannot have diseases of the lungs such as asthma or bronchitis, reliably diagnosed after the 13th birthday. Criteria for such diagnosis can include bouts of coughing, wheezing or chest tightness lasting more than 12 months. Candidates can be disqualified if they have surgery of the chest wall (including the breast) during the six months previous to applying for service.
It will not, I know because I know of a linguistic specialist in the Army with Alopecia. I do not know if she is Active, National Guard, or Reservist but it should be the same across the board for the Army.
