I have lived with alopecia universalis for 9 years now. Yikes! All of my thirties were bald! In this video, I share some of the challenges that being bald can have that most people don't know about or even think about. 

First and foremost, let's talk about wigs. If you have more than one, people will notice, especially if they are different colors and styles. I can't seem to stick with one style or color. (I buy inexpensive wigs.) 

The next thing is that wigs get itchy and I can't wait to take them off. 

I did quit a job because I didn't want to be bald at the pool. So, there is an insecurity factor to being bald. 

My head gets cold! I wear wigs and beanies because without them my head is cold!
