I know this is hard for a mother..  my Mom always wanted to "give me her hair"  hold your daughter in your arms and let her feel your love and encouragement. It will be O.K...  don't be sad Mom she feels it..  it is beyond anyone's control...  yours or hers..  be happy you have a sweet daughter.

I have AU..  no hair anywhere..  my friends and family still love me.. maybe even more.  It is a bonus she has an outgoing personality.  It is a rough road no doubt..   but with love and acceptance of the situation..  stand tall and be strong...  let your daughter's strong personality shine..  foster and focus on that..  not the sadness of her hair loss..  she will sense it...      try to focus on the other positive things (it sounds like there are many)..  i always felt my Mom's sadness..  like i was a disappointment..  she looked as the glass was half empty..  and it was...   focus on the half full..  she will sense this.

a few suggestions from a daughter's perspective..  with a Mom who cried by my bedside..  hugs..
