I just registered with Missionary Ventures Canada to head over to Guatemala in January for 10 days. The purpose of the trip is to help finish constructing a church and putting a roof on it. I'll be working hard and paying for a portion of the trip myself however there will be a fair deal of fund-raising going on. Everything happens for a reason and I think that God has a plan for each and everyone of us. Today God combined the idea of my missionary venture and my alopecia, he was even gracious enough to encourage me by having one of his children reach out to me to know that someone is still listening and watching. I tried to do a little bit of research on alopecians in Guatemala online and I can't find anything. There don't seem to be any members here from Guatemala either. I will have to send CAP and NAAF emails to find out if they've heard of anyone over there. There have to be people over there with alopecia because they have dermatologists and plenty of ads for treatments (that don't work btw). I wish I could find out more about this because something in me feels as though building the roof on the church is only a small portion of what God wants me to do in Guatemala. If anyone knows anything or has any information please pass it along. If you are interested in sponsoring me, send a message to my inbox here (tax write off). I will keep you posted on the mission before and after and bring loads of cool pictures back with me, doubly so if I can turn this into a double purposed trip. God bless you and you and you! :)
