Hi everyone!
Has anyone experienced little red bumps around the perimiter of their bald spots or patches? I woke up this morning and 4 of these little bumps have sprung up. My scalp where I lose hair is also pink (thats where I can tell where my next hairloss spot will be) but the pink is not raised. I have only had AA since March so it is all new to me...and the doc doesn't know a whole lot when I ask questions.

I have no idea about that, has the doctor given you some cream to rub around those areas? Has the doctor mentioned anything about seriasis? ( i probably spelled it wrong) but they are red bumps and they itch?
just not sure what to suggest for you,
I hope you can find a solution for this.

Thanks Lisa-Lynn. I have an appointment with him on Tuesday so hopefully he can enlighten me. I am going to get some more cortisone shots (2nd round)

When I lost my hair I also had very tiny bumps on and around the areas where I lost my hair. I was recently diagnosed with Seborrheic Dermatitis. I am sure that is the reason for those tiny bumps in my situation.

That's so true, those bumps. Make you go insane! I wonder sometimes if it's the new hair growing in and other hair falling out besides the immune reaction, dermatitis. Either way causes inflammation and I just go crazy! So I just shave off the hair and love it for a couple days, until I have the troubles all over and over again. Sometimes I just wish I was Alopecia Totalis again. Life was so much easier!
Cause the worst is when shaving, it gets irritated to shave so soon. Years ago when I was younger it wasn't so bad... but girls, this can change with age.
I'm 54 now and I wasted 40 years crying ...when shaving wasn't so hard on the skin for me... so enjoy the skin you're in.....
