Hi everyone!
I am new here and I just wanted some advice! I am looking for any suggestions of how to be supportive of my friend who has alopecia. What is something you wish your loved ones did more of to help you? Also what is something you wish they did less of?
Thanks for the help!

Have you friend become a member of Alopecia World if he/she allready isnt.
Have her/him join a local support group thru www.naaf.org
Attend the next NAAF Conf in LA Californina next June with him/her
Let the healing begin!!!

I agree with both Jeffrey & Paul. Tell him/her to join this site, just like us he/her will find that many of us are going through same or similiar things. And, most importantly, don't treat them different, don't talk differently, sometimes ppl don't talk about their own hair, or if they get a new hair style or a new cut they avoid the conversation. Just be you and allow them to be themselves. Remember that although they are losing or lost their hair they still know about hair. What I'm trying to say is just act the same. Good Luck you're a good friend to be seeking advise.
