For years I've had trouble finding cute shoes in narrow widths and now a similar frustration with wigs-- small caps were discontinuted 60 days ago on my top wig pick. And do not even get me started on hats that will not stay on in the wind!! If only I could shift some fat up north.... Grrrr

Or a pea head with a size 12 feet; like me. LOL

I emailed a company about my measurements and they said that a child's size would be too small. To be honest, there isn't a lot of an assortment in children's wigs - although on wigs.com there is a pretty cute one called "Shiloh". That's the current hair style I have now (a bob). I also think they have a band that's called "sure grip" that helps keep the wig secure. Your new wig looks fantastic, by the way!!! Here is the link to the sure grip band. Take care!!!

I ordered a petite, and even that had to be adjusted by adding 1/2" darts above each ear so it would fit more snugly and not rest on the top of my ears. Maybe I should have just asked about children's wigs!! :-)

Oh my gosh!!! I KNOW exactly what you mean!!! I am 1/2" bigger than a child's size wig - I'm not wearing a wig yet, but I am so afraid when I have to the dang thing will fall off as I have to get a petite instead of a child's size!!! Good Luck to you!!! :)

What if you gals sewed an elastic into the back of scarves and snoods, or added velcro circles in indiscreet places? Add a tuck on each side? I know that won't do for the wigs, but it might help for other things.

I hear you! I have some pre-tied scarves/bandanas and some Jewish snoods that fall down around my eyes, hats too. And I have some great outfits I would love to wear but I feel like my head is too small in proportion to the cute jacket tops. I didn't have trouble with wigs--everything felt uncomfortably tight.
As for the fat issue, I wish I had more fat on my head to keep me warm! I am always cold. Ahh, the myriad issues this disorder creates that others never have to think about.

I admire your determination, Nicole! Best of luck on your "journey"!

Tracey I completely understand where you are coming from. I have a pea-size head too... I have to have my wigs custom made because I cannot even fit a small. I am on this journey of making my own wig because of this problem.
