hi....my 11 year old was told she had alopecia areata about 2 and a half months ago...she has a bald spot on the back of her head and around her ear has been feeling tingly and itchy and i have noticed there is less hair around that ear than the other....i am also noticing that her hair seems to be breaking...i dont know if that is also due to the alopecia...when i brush her hair i find that a lot comes out also...i have found out that another member of my familys child also has alopecia areata,and wondering if this will mean it will be more agresive...i know there are some beautiful wigs out there but when it is your child it is hard to come to terms with..i think to myself  i wish it was me....she is taking biotin ,fish oil capsules,immunity booster for natures sway....the only way i feel like i am doing somthing is by trying these things....i have recently purchased some EMU OIL and was wondering if any body had any luck????i have the oil not the capsules,going to put it in her shampoo and conditioner allso on her spot that is growing.....would love any bodys thoughts or opinions......thanxs
