Where acceptance is all there is!
"Bald by chance or choice?"
An older white woman asked me this at Kinko's. She was a cancer survivor and told me she's always curious to ask other bald women their stories. She had a short gray/white pixie cut since her hair had grown back. I responded to her question by saying "well, a mix of both …hit a hair loss limit and decided to shave the rest." She gave me quite the compliment. We never exchanged names, we continued with our copies, and offered each other "a nice day." Aside from the fact that I'm a sucker for alliteration given the framing of her question, that was one of the best convos I had that day…late to class, but well worth it.
;)
baldgyrlmemoirs.com …I'm taking a leap!

It did Pat! Even though I knew I was bald, I was a little scared because Idk … it's hard noticing when other people notice… but she was totally a doll
love it...must have made your day.
Thanks Frances! I noticed that, too … my earlier ones (and honestly if I'm gonna be serious right now - a lot of my current ones, lol) totally don't … maybe *effort* or the desire to be confident?? But I'm working on it =)
Hi Ann. Your picture exudes confidence. You are beautiful!
