Hi!
I've had AA since I was six but recently I've started losing hair all over my body, including my eyelashes and eyebrows. You can't really notice that my eyelashes are falling yet, I think, and I use eyeshadow to fill in my eyebrows but I'm scared it's going to get worse and won't know what to do... What do those of you who have no eyebrows or eyelashes do to conceal this hair loss? I would love to get some advice :) Thank you!

Same advice here. Tattoo eyebrows and lashes. But with caution. Find a good practitioner!

Thanks for the advice! Do you get your eyebrows tattooed at a drugstore or somewhere else?

@JeffreySF so it's possible to get your eyelashes tattooed?

I got my eyebrows and eyelashes tattoos at www.athenabeverlyhills.com
She is a Paramedical Tattoo Artist that is amazing.
Yes eyelashes can be simulated along with eyebrows.
You can fool Mother Nature!

Okay, thank you! I live in a pretty small country so I'll see what I can find :) Hopefully I'll find a solution :)

several years ago I had permanent eye brows and eye liner tatooed in Portland, OR. I live in Montana, so it was a trek to go there for permanent make up aka tatoos. Initially I was told I would need to have them "touched up" every year or so. With the distance I have only been able to do it every 2-3 years. I just went again this past February and the lady who did it said that I can't keep coming back that eventually my eye brows will become a solid blob instead of the individual hair tatoos. Any body ele have input on their tatoo history? Also curious about "eye lash tatoos vs eye liner. Any body use fake eye lashes how hard are they to use?

I've used fake eye lashes years ago. Way before my alopecia...
Easy squeezy and oh so fabulous! That said, My paramedical tattoo artist did a fantastic job with a subtle dot technique that added just enough dimension to fool Mother Nature.

I too am very fair. I started using a gel eyeliner around my entire lashline (previously I used Clinique eye pencil when wearing makeup... just on the outer third of my lower lashline). I have blue eyes and this really creates an illusion of a lash line, I find.
I use Clinique brow crayon to paint on eyebrows, but because I have bangs, my brows are generally covered.

@Audrey: Oh wow, so you really can't get your eyebrow tattoos touched up anymore? I am considering getting some, but I'm scared adn I didn't know that after a few years you wouldn't be able to see the individual hair structure anymore. What sort of permanent makeup did you get and how long have you had it now?
Maybe you might want to go get opinions at other permanent makeup studios (just email them at first) and ask them about their techniques and how they would explain this "solid blob" situation. Maybe you'll find another place and I think the travelling every few years should be worth it.
