Has anyone done this? I used to be a client of farrell hair, wore a toppper for one yr to hide the thinning on the top of my head, but felt the hair was way to thick and wiggy looking, felt like everyone was staring at me..... yea ya know 5000.00 later!!!! Any suggestions out there????
My dermatologist said that the immune system would probably attack the same way with the transplant. However, that was a few years ago. There may be new technology.
Unfortunatley I had a hair transplant at the age of 24 in my temple areas on both sides, paid 6,000.00. Now im thinning behind those area and all over the top, Im ashamed and its ruining my life.... I am glad i found this site, open to suggestions, currently I use toppix to cover the bald spots and dye my hair darker, seems to make it look thicker
Please don't let it ruin your life! There are so many options out there. When mine thinned like that I wore a clip on piece that matched my natural hair color. That added a lot of volume and I could cover more. You can find them at a wig store or online. I know it's so hard. I have a lump in my throat remembering how I felt when I was going through what you are now.
So what type of hair replacement do you use?
If you're looking for a good wig, I recommend Savvy Sheitels. That's the only place I've ever gotten wigs from and they never disappoint. Their customer service is even great and you're actually able to talk to someone to find exactly what you need for your situation. They have great quality wigs that look so real! Some are a little pricey but you get your money's worth! What I do is get a long basic style and then have a trusted hair stylist cut it to a style I prefer.
Do you want a topper or a bonded option? If you are looking for a clip on topper, there are quite a few options.
I have a lot of hair loss in the back of my head also. Does anyone know of a good topper that covers the back of head.
