What does this mean for you? What weight do you put on all the other aspects of your life, and which ones give you your personal sense of success, comfort, pride, and satisfaction? Some of us have trouble trying to find balance, especially after mishaps in choices. The immediate reaction to hair loss can also take one's mind off the bigger picture. In this time of economic changes, what thoughts are on your mind about what you really need in life? Please tell an unbalanced Libra (me!) how one makes a life plan. My current assignment for my credential program expects me to start writing a 5-year career plan by this Sunday night, and I am totally frozen on this. What if you have no clue what the economy, family and health will offer in 5 years? What if you are going to be 60 in less than 2 years??? Argh.
On some things, I am clueless.

This is a weird time of life to be going to college! Ideas, please!!! (Credential: Education Specialist II, Mild/Moderate).
The college computers are down for the online class today, so I have some thinking time...

I admire your even attempting responding to the 5 year plan that's expected for you to submit at school. That's a tough one. "The best laid plans of mice and men....." For all we plan, the universe, God, has its own plan. Iw as laid off from my job going on 3 years ago. The few interviews of been on this past year I've been asked "where do you see yourself in 5 years". I always laugh and say I can't see that far. I'll guess this is the wrong thing to say, but its the truth. 3 years ago, let alone NEVER did I ever dream to see myself unemployed and at this juncture with $0 income (unemployment finished for me in late 2009). I really can't see what's ahead, what's in front of me, not a clue. I can only deal with now. Right now, my bald spots have gotten so bad, I'm taking the "step", going to have my head buzzed. I'm tired of the combing over, robbing hair from one side trying to hide another side - you know the dance, we've all done it. I want to be free, and I believe facing this, slaying this dragon, as I like to put it will make me victorious and more able to move forward. I wish you luck in fulfilling what's expected (or was expected) in your career plan. Accepting this issue with my hair is the biggest part of me on my way to "having it all". On a recent interview songwriter Bill Withers said "I tell my kids that while they're on their way to "wonderful" they'll stop at "alright". I say take a good look at "alright" cause it may be as far as you go". I think he nailed it. It doesn't mean we're failures if we don't actualize being where we think we should go, or getting where we dreamed we wanted to go; that we did our best to get there and enjoyed the ride, that's the "having it all". Take a breath, my friend; enjoy the ride.
