Heredity

Does anyone have any information on alopecia and heredity/genetics? Is this something that can be passed on from mother to child or father to child? I can't seem to find any reliable information on the subject.

this is such a good question i would love to find out aswell i am seven months pregnant with my first child and the thought of it kinda scares me !

thank you very much!! the most positive thing is if my child were to have alopecia i could guide it because i have seen it all lol!!! but hey 80% is pretty good!!
