To "hold" a meeting, class or event means just to arrange it in a particular place, with particular guests invited. Maybe "hold" means to reserve that place and time for a purpose.

They just had the conference last weekend. Next year, it will be in Los Angeles, California. I think to be a presenter at adult sessions, you must have attended at least one conference as a participant. All volunteer for presenters, I think. The children's camp part is run by a group they hire, but you could put forth this idea for all age groups. Maybe we could lead a session someday??? The conference usually has a talent show for children plus a dance for adults on the Saturday...see video link above on this page.
