I have had alopecia totalis for 8 years. I tried synthetic wigs and they always matte and are just trashed so I only buy human hair wigs. I have found some of the wigs "state" that they are 100% human hair but actually are 100% human hair "quality" which means they are not human hair and they don't last at all either. My best wigs were around $500 and they were gorgeous Raquel Welch human hair wigs but I don't always have $500 to spend at a time on a wig. I am in dire need of a new one. Any suggestions would be very appreciated!
I don't know what state u r in but call ur medical insurance carrier, I know some consider wigs for medical conditions "prosthetics" and will cover 80% to 100% of costs. U must have a doc prescription. Also check out the national cancer society website-I have not worn a wig in 15 years but I used to like the wigs offered by that organization-maybe not quite as stylish as a Raquel but good enough not to get a side eye from the BOSS at work :)
Aimee...emailed you from WS. Didn't hear back. ? had petite wig questions. The Gabor hasn't matted ? Tangled? How often do you wear it? Gotta wear that gorgeous Fortune wig. It will still stay perfect I am sure.
heck even an el cheapo Paula Young may do, I had one I used to wear to an elementary school I used to teach at cause the kids would pull at it and get junk in it from lil curious hands and I never paid more than $80 for them and they would last a school year-9 months
Aimee, I am sold on my Fortune wig. I special ordered a Follea and it would take 3 months to get. While waiting I called and purchased a Fortune wig and love it! It is just as comfortable as the Follea and cost a lot less. A year later I still wear the Fortune wig including when I ride my horse! Like you, I do keep watching their sales.
