I find myself looking at other women's hair

When Im out doing errands or at the mall or park, I sometimes look at some ladies parts or hairline. A nice amount of time I can see that they are wearing a wig or closure, but I have been noticing more some women with thinning hair I feel like I want to go up to them and just try to be friends with them talk to them. Before I had my son I would just style my thin hair pretty much like a comb over lol. Some days it didnt seem so bad but other days it look like a Donald trump comb over. I didn't know about hair powders or anything to mask my hair loss. I also was in denial hoping that my hair that Ive been losing would grow back. When I had my son around six months later I lost alot more. So now I wear a hair topper I might get a wig. I wish I would of had a woman
Come to me and said they are dealing with the same. I even see famous women like fergie and Naomi Campbell with hair loss, the one most close to my hair is Tori Amos but now she wears some nice wigs. I know I'm all over the place but yes since my hair loss I tend to closely look to see if I can point out a wig or someone with thin hair. I wouldn't notice back when I had hair, but i do now.

I'm the same way! Before I had Alopecia I never really took a second glance at another woman's hair, but now I try to see if I can spot an other normal person around that has to deal with it as well. I'm not sure if I subconsciously do it so I don't feel alone or because I'm just naturally curious, either way, I gander too! I always want to go up to them too, especially if they're close to my age because I don't have anyone to talk to who goes through hair loss as well. I can totally relate to your post!!

Thank you :-), I thought I would be alone in my gandering but it feels less awful seeing a woman in person with the same problem

I completely understand that feeling! Sometimes I hate to say it, but it's quite nice seeing someone who might have the same feelings and understandings of the struggle :b

Fellow Toriphile!! I Love her so much; she is my favorite artist. I thought it was really interesting that my "musical soul sister" wears hair too! She is so fab! <3 "Years go by, if I'm stripped of my beauty, and the orange clouds raining on my head. Years go by. Will I choke on my tears, until finally there is nothing left? One more casualty, You know we're too easy, easy, easy." -- Tori Amos
