So I know a lot of you get the cancer question a lot, but I keep getting the "I love your hair cut" and "wow, I would NEVER be that bold to cut off all my hair!" Well my hair was down to the middle of my back not too long ago, and if it was up to me, I wouldnt have this hair cut! A delivery driver just came to my work, NEVER seen him in my life, and the first thing he says is, "Hey...I like the hair cut". I guess I should feel good that people actually like me looking like Sinead O'Conner with bald spots, but I just don't really find it to be a compliment. Anyone else feel this way?

People used to comment on how long, thick and beautiful my hair was, and HEALTHY! I had to cut 14 inches off when the scalp pain and hair loss started. I havent gotten a single compliment on my looks since all this started and it is very hard. My hair was the one thing I was proud of about myself and now it's a mess. It's hard to try to find new things you like about yourself when you feel your identity has been stolen. It is a learning experience and I am slowly learning that I am still me even with all the new acne and hair loss...

No I actually feel just the opposite. I like getting the compliments but I actually take it as an opportunity to explain our condition. The compliments I receive from strangers actually mean more to me.

The hair loss doesnt bother me. I havent lost ANY sleep over it, and my shower and get ready time has been cut down more than half. I think its the look I get with the comment. I dont feel like I need to explain my situation to strangers. I have a few times, but they just look at me confused. Then being told "I'd make a hot lesbian" doesn't help the situation either. Some people just need to keep their stupid comments to themselves.
