Hate to say this, but...you will have to accept this, as we all must, because there is no cure for a genetic condition. See the 2010-2017 gene research online and at www.naaf.org. I just get natural-looking wigs to get through life and work without questions.

But i can't accept it.All my friends are making stylish hair cuts and having handsome looks and there was me in the class room always used to wear cap. I am not dare enough to remove the cap and show myself bald. Wigs are there but they are not my natural. All i am doung is crying atleast once a day why only for me.No facial hair,no hair on my head,no hair on body parts...this feeling is eating me from inside and not able to think in a broad way.Only God knows that how many prayers i have done about my hair. :(

I agree with you! Don't just accept it. Losing your hair quickly and drastically is a symptom. I was in your shoes last summer - extremely depressed and feeling alone. I asked to be referred to an endocrinologist and she immediately put me on B12, vitamin D and HRT (I am 58 years old).I have osteomalacia. My body hair is slowly growing and my scalp hair has grown significantly in the last  3-4 months. I also have hypothyroidism and I suspect malabsorption issues. Last summer,  I wanted to die. This summer, I am hopeful and grateful that I have found a wonderful doctor!j

Hi Vamsi

So sorry that you are going through this. I have Alopecia Totalis and I lost my hair and eyebrows very quickly and it is such a hard thing to come to terms with. I never thought I would say this but everyday is getting better because I am becoming stronger in myself. Yes I have still have days where I cry and get so angry and frustrated as like you I want my hair back as do we all. However there are some great wigs out there that do look very natural. My advice would be to go to a good wig salon and try them all on and find what is right with you. I wear a freedom wig and as I have no hair the security is great - you can do everything and as I have been wearing it for a while I don't even notice I'm wearing anymore and sometimes when I'm out and about I forget i even have alopecia. More recently I was in a canoe and the boat capsized and it miraculously stayed on even though I was immersed in a fast current.

You are going to feel awful and down about it all but we have all been though and I will never let this horrible disease beat me. Look after yourself
