Hi everyone,
This is my first time blogging. I just want to thank everyone for their kind comments towards my daughter. I just want to retell a conversation we had earlier regarding her alopecia. Amanda is 7 and has had AA since she was 4. She is never frustrated or disappointed by it. She just knows it has been a part of her life for the past 3 yrs. Well she celebrated her birthday a few days ago and when it came down for her to make a wish before blowing out her candles she didnt wish for her alopecia to go away like she always does. I asked her why she didnt mention it and she said that she wanted to keep her bald spots because she feels special with them. It brought a tear to my eye and I told her she was special no matter what. It just went on to teach me that it all boils down to how you feel about yourself and how you make the most of it. We are happy to have found Alopecia World when we needed it the most. She enjoys looking at everyones pics on their site and now feels good about her own hair. She knows she is not the only one. Thanks for listening.
