Well we are on week three now, and we can see a difference already. The top of his head was bald but now their are a ton of light hairs growing. He still has small circles on top, like when it was before it all fell out. It's like going back in time. so far so good!

Well i have to say that I am so happy with kyler's progress, wow were on week 5 and I had to gave him a haircut the other day, just a #2 brushcut. but I can't remember the last time he needed one. The sides are slower then the rest but there are still little hairs coming in. Kyler is soo cute he looks in the mirror and say..look mommy fuzzy's...I love the things kids say......

That is GREAT! My little boy is 5 1/2 and has had alopecia since he was a little over 3. His hair comes and goes...but he never has much hair. Right now he has the most hair he's had but I think it's starting to fall out. I just spoke with Mr. Gonen today and I'm so excited to start this treatment. Please keep us posted and know our thoughts are with you and your beautiful little boy. Best wishes to you!!!

A haircut?! Wow, that is awesome! Okay, I think it's time for us to contact Dr. Gonen & try his medication on Joaquin! Joaquin has been asking for his hair more lately and I hope that his body will react the same as how Kyler is now to the medication. Thank you Christine for your regular updates on Kyler's continued progress. We are so happy and we will continue to pray for him!

Hi Christine,
I have somehow stumbled over your blog and boy am i glad. I have a little niece who is about to turn 6 years old and she does too have Alopecia. She lives in Turkey and she is going to start kindergarden in just about a few weeks. Unfortunately, she has never had any hair on her head. She went from one doctor to another, and got done every single test in the world and of course there is nothing wrong with her. (Thank GOD!)Except that she can't grow any hair. She has been using rogaine for about a year and still nothing. Since she is going to start school this year, we ended up getting her a wig because we don't want her to shy away from school. I am not sure if that was the best thing to do but it's a catch 22. We just don't know how to handle this. Plus i live in the states and don't really know what she is going thru on a day to day basis. I really want her to enjoy school and enjoy life and not shy away from things just because of hair. She is a very smart, sweet loving kid and i'd do anything for her. So, the reason i'm writing to you is because i see that you are using Dr.Gonen's product. I wrote him a few days ago and they wrote me back asking for pictures and a phone number they can call. But before i get into this any deeper, i wanted to check with you to see if you think the product is working. I see that it is a bit expensive and i don't care about cost right now because i'd do anything for my little niece if she can grow hair, but i just don't want to get my or her parents hopes up if the product is not working. Can you tell me a little bit more about this product? Do you think it is working? do you really think it is worth a shot? How long before seeing any improvements? I feel so helpless that i can't do anything but if you can enlighten me a little bit about the doctor and the product i'd be forever grateful. Thank you for reading. I wish you and your little boy the best!!!

Yes I too was nervous about the product, but I spoke with the DR and I also talked via e mails to some of his clients and I felt good about it.It is working very well for Kyler. He had about 20% of his hair left and now his hair is back about 70%, and he just started his 6th week. The product is all hearbal you can eat it(though it would tast bad) but it wouldn't hurt you.1st at bedtime you wash the hail with a shampoo they provide then you apply the topical solution( its like a gel but not as thick) and let it dry about 10 15 mins and then in the morning you shampoo the head again and repeat every night for 3 months. They give you 10 tubes( about the size of the old film containers)for each month. Each month is a different solution,, but with Kyler only being 2 his head is small so I only go through 5 a month so I have 3 more months left over.I think it is worth the shot but speak to the Dr cause every case is different and he will tell you the chances. He is a very nice person I didn't have the money right away but he sent it to me before I even paid him( I have paid him up). He is a very honest man... I hope this has helped you. Keep me updated I hope the best for her....
