When you're eating an improper diet, your "illness" genes are brought into the forefront. Just because you have the gene does not mean that gene is expressed. Try to think of genes as genetic suggestions. It's mostly what we eat that decides our fate."

My Psoriasis Story:
"Psoriasis: There is currently no cure."
"Psoriasis occurs when the immune system mistakes a normal skin cell for a pathogen, and sends out faulty signals that cause overproduction of new skin cells. Psoriasis is not contagious. However, psoriasis has been linked to an increased risk of stroke. There are five types of psoriasis: plaque, guttate, inverse, pustular, and erythrodermic. The most common form, plaque psoriasis, is commonly seen as red and white hues of scaly patches appearing on the top first layer of the epidermis (skin). "
I'VE BEEN PSORIASIS FREE for a ONE YEAR and 5 MONTHS after 20 years of researching , PSORIASIS IS A SYMPTOM NOT A DISEASE!
I self diagnosed myself as having leaky gut.
"Leaky gut syndrome is not generally recognized by conventional physicians, but evidence is accumulating that it is a real condition that affects the lining of the intestines. The theory is that leaky gut syndrome (also called increased intestinal permeability), is the result of damage to the intestinal lining, making it less able to protect the internal environment as well as to filter needed nutrients and other biological substances. As a consequence, some bacteria and their toxins, incompletely digested proteins and fats, and waste not normally absorbed may "leak" out of the intestines into the blood stream. This triggers an autoimmune reaction, which can lead to gastrointestinal problems such as abdominal bloating, cramps, fatigue, food sensitivities, joint pain, skin rashes, eartburn, insomnia, bloating, anxiety, gluten intolerance, malnutrition, poor exercise tolerance, food allergies. and autoimmunity. The cause of this syndrome may be chronic inflammation, food sensitivity, damage from taking large amounts of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDS), cytotoxic drugs and radiation or certain antibiotics, excessive alcohol consumption, or compromised immunity."
Condition that may attributed to leaky gut:
"Celiac Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Fibromyalgia, Autism, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Eczema, Dermatitis, Psoriasis, Ulcerative Colitis, Crohn's, Arthritis, Alopecia and other autoimmune diseases."
Once I figured out the I had leaky gut, I started researching on how to heal the gut. Since, I had chronic ear, tonsil and strep throat I figured I had an overgrowth of Candida. The first step was to go on a Candida cleanse.
"Candidiasis is yeast infection usually occurs in individuals with an overgrowth of an intestinal organism called Candida albicans due to an unhealthy diet high in sugar, prolonged stress, or overuse of broad-spectrum antibiotics. Once the Candida albicans overwhelms the healthy bacteria in your gut, it can negatively affect your health."
"if Candida is able to establish itself in the intestines, it becomes invasive. Rhizoids which are root like structures can burrow through the membranes in your intestinal walls and damage the finger like protrusions on the walls of the intestinal tract known as villi. Once these are damaged the possibility of undigested food particles, toxins and bacteria traversing the intestinal lining to enter the bloodstream are increased. These toxins and poisons in the body further destabilize and weaken the immune system resulting in ever more symptoms of Leaky Gut Syndrome."
My Candida cleanse was for three months.
My diet I had quinoa, organic chicken, fish, nuts and seeds and all the veggies. No sugar, no dairy, no alcohol, wheat and yeast.
I wanted to detox my body so I also did a parasite kill Mercury cleanse, a parasite kill and colonic cleanse.
I chose to do Colonic irrigation. After my first treatment I notice my psoriasis completely disappeared. This was another indication that my body was not getting rid of toxics properly.
I did my cleanse 5 years ago and I still haven't had strep troat, tonsil or ear infection and and added bonus I no longer get cold sores!
My psoriasis after a couple of months of the cleanse did return so I didn't know what else to do. I decided to remain on a anti candida diet- except for the alcohol..lol
Anyways, years went by and then I decided to try oil pulling. That was one of the worst and best thing I ever did.
"Oil pulling or oil swishing, is an ancient ayurvedic natural remedy procedure that involves pulling or swishing oil in the mouth to pull toxins."
I was satisfied with my research and didn't see any adverse reactions. So, every morning I would take one spoon of sesame oil and swish it my mouth for 20 mins. I did for couple of weeks till my psoriasis blow up! It was the worst flare up I have ever had! I had it on my eyelids, new spots on my arms, all over my legs. It was so itchy i literally wanted to tear my skin off. My gums were swollen, bleeding and I developed a dark spot on my tongue.
(One thing that I notice though that my receding gum started to grow back)
What did i do to myself! I was very upset!
I started researching again and came to the same conclusion that the leaky gut was not healed other wise my body should not have reacted this way to oil pulling unless I was allergic to the sesame oil.
So, I started drinking cabbage juice (blended green cabbage and water) every second day. Once in the morning and once in the evening. The other day I drank blended cilantro, chlorella with water.
"Cabbage heals the digestion because of its high glutamine content. Glutamine is an amino acid; our body makes glutamine but it becomes an essential amino acid during times of illness or high stress. While most of our body, such as our brain and muscles, use glucose, a sugar, the lining of our digestive tract prefers glutamine as an energy source. So when you eat cabbage, you are giving your stomach and intestines the food it prefers to replace and heal itself. Studies utilizing extracts of cabbage have found them to be protective against and healing to ulcers; it is hypothesized that glutamine is at least part of the reason for this. Glutamine content tends to be higher in raw cabbage"
Cilantro and Chlorella
"Chlorella and cilantro tincture are the two most important cleansing agents. Chlorella is an algae that is excellent at mobilizing mercury and other heavy metals from the gut, muscles, ligaments, connective tissue, and bone. It binds to the mercury bring it to the colon for elimination so the kidneys don’t work as hard. Chlorella also has antiviral qualities and is considered a “super food” by some. It will feed the good bowel flora as well. Chlorella must have “cracked cell walls” so it is digestible. "
While I was doing this cleanse I went to a natural pharmacist and i decided to ask what he recommended for Psoriasis and he said ( high dose) vitamin D3.
"Vitamin D3 is an anti-inflammatory."
So, I started taking the vitamin D3 and to my amazement by psoriasis started to disappear. I started to wonder if it just the vitamin D3 so I stopped the cabbage and cilantro drinks for a couple of weeks and the Psoriasis came back. I did the reverse to see if it was just the cabbage and cilantro +chlorella and the psoriasis came back. So, I concluded it was the combination of the two that worked.
It took 3 months to reverse the initial reaction form the oil pulling and one month to completely heal it!
Every morning I wake up and say to myself " elbows, you are the most beautiful elbows I have ever seen"! and I will never take my health for granted!
