My first tattoo

I'm so proud. I have wanted to get a tattoo for as long as I can remember, but I always put it off. I figured it was a stupid idea for me.... I was worried about how much it would hurt, and all that stuff...

NOT anymore! I took the bull by the horns and did it. I got my first (of what will probably be MANY tattoos).

I spent a lot of time researching and ended up going to a local guy who is well known in our community and does GREAT work. I'm so happy with it.

I'm happy i did it. I did it for me... I did it to celebrate the strength I've gained through this journey, and to remind myself to do what's right for me and not take myself so seriously. The design is really meaningful to me.

the only downside... i'm hooked. I can't wait to get another one..

That's exciting! I have 2 tattoos! They are addicting but I haven't gone crazy and I know I won't because its hard to get them without stressing of how to hide it! Neither of my tattoos have anything to do with Alopecia or my journey with it but I definitely want something..small of course. =) lol

hey lady congrats! i have several and i love them! i will end up covered, i love them and it is the way that i express myself. where did you get it and what is the design? you need to post some pics so we can all see. i will have to post my alopecia ribbon a friend drew for me.

Congrats!! I've had my tattoo for nearly 2 years now; and after reading Melody's blog ... HAHA!!! I will be adding #2!! I LOVE her Alopecia ribbon!!

Congrats on the tattoo. I've decided if all my head hair falls out or if I shave it then I'll get something on my head. Hubby's a tattooist so hopefully I'll get it cheep lol.
